Dosage information

18 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE
Uncomplicated UTI: 1-2 g daily, single dose or in 2 equally divided doses.
Other UTI: 2 g daily or 2 equally divided doses.

Skin structure infection: 1 g daily, single dose or in 2 equally divided doses.

Group Aβ-hemolytic streptococcal pharyngitis & tonsilitis: 1 g daily, single dose or in 2 equally divided doses for at least 10 days.

Respiratory infections: 1 g daily in 2 divided doses.
Moderate to severe infections: 1-2 g daily in 2 divided doses.

0 TO 18 YEARS OLD
UTI and skin infections: 30 mg/kg body weight per day in divided doses every 12 hours.

Pharyngitis and tonsilitis: 30 mg/kg body weight per day, single dose or 2 divided doses.

Group Aβ-hemolytic streptococcus infection: treatment at least 10 days.

Indication

Resp tract infections: Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, lung abscesses, emphysema, pleuritis, sinusitis, laryngitis, otitis media. UTI: Pyelonephritis, cystitis, adnexitis, endometritis. Skin & soft tissue infections: Lymphangitis, abscesses, cellulitis, decubitus ulcers, mastitis, furunculosis, erysipelas.
